Members of the HRA Junior Rowing team traveled to Sarasota to participate in the FSRA Sweep Championships! In addition to the girls achievement, Connor Brok and Bret Bay earned a seventh place finish in the championship event for their performance in the Varsity Men's 2-. Congratulations also go to the Boys Freshman 4+ (Alex Grubel, Ben Herstein, Dylan Lev, Andrew Filosa, and Vince Leffler) - 12th place finish and to the Girls Junior 4+ (Allison Thomas, Celeste Sebastien, Jasleen Kaylon, Julia Van Cleef and Lilly Copeland) - 15th place finish.
This is the first time the Junior Rowing team has earned entry into the Grand Finals and brought hardware home! Way to go HRA Juniors! We are proud of all of you and your accomplishments!
Learn to Row with HRA!
Welcome to the Halifax Rowing Association! Located on the banks of the Halifax River in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida, the Halifax Rowing Association (HRA), is a non-profit organization that provides rowers of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to enjoy and embrace the sport of rowing.
This summer, we'll be offering Learn to Row sessions for adults and juniors. These sessions provide new rowers with the basics of sculling and sweep rowing, including proper technique, ettiquette, and safety. Participants in the Adult Learn to Row and the Junior Learn to Row, Session One and Two, will have an opportunity to participate in the Halifax Summer Regatta on Saturday, July 25th!
OPEN HOUSE AND INTRODUCTION TO ROWING! Saturday, May 30th
Join us on Saturday, May 30th, anytime between 8 AM and Noon, to see what the HRA is all about! You'll have an opportunity to learn about the HRA, try an ergometer for a quick workout, and weather permitting, test out what it's like to be in a racing shell!
Learn to Row for Juniors (Ages 12 - 18)
All junior sessions run four days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday) from 10 AM - Noon. Class size is limited to 15 rowers. Per session cost is $150.00 per rower.
Session One - June 15 - July 3
Session Two - July 6 - 24
Session Three - July 27 - August 14

Please understand that payment in full must be received prior to confirming your participatin as each session is limited to 15 participants.
Learn to Row for Adults (Ages 19 and up!)
The Adult Learn to Row program begins Monday, June 8th and continues through Friday, July 17th. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday sessions begin at 6 AM and conclude at 8 AM. The cost for the six-week session is $350. If you decide to join the HRA Masters program after the learn to row to continue building your skills, get great workouts, and enjoy the fun, $150 of the Learn to Row program will be applied toward your annual dues.

From fitness rows to competitive regattas, HRA caters to casual and competitive rowers alike. Memberships are designed to fit your lifestyle, and members are treated to a variety of programs, functions, and events throughout the year. Its boathouse, The Halifax Rowing Center, is also home to the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) Crew.
